1. Free preliminary assessments

The preliminary assessment is free. It may be discontinued at any time before a paid contract is concluded.

2. Statutory right of withdrawal

Where applicable, consumers entering a distance contract for research services generally have 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Send an unequivocal withdrawal notice before the deadline to WW2ServiceHistories@gmail.com. The optional model form below may also be used. This preview has no online withdrawal function.

3. Starting work during the withdrawal period

A consumer may expressly request that research begin before the 14-day period expires. Before work starts, the trader must provide the required information about withdrawal and any payment for work already performed, obtain the express early-start request, and obtain acknowledgement that the right will be lost once the service has been fully performed. These steps must be recorded and confirmed on a durable medium. Without a valid early-start request, work begins only after the withdrawal period ends.

4. Withdrawal before research begins

If the consumer validly withdraws before work starts, payments made for the contract will be refunded in full.

5. Withdrawal after work starts but before full performance

Where work began on the consumer's valid express request, a proportionate amount for the service actually performed before notice may be payable if permitted by law. Any remaining amount is refunded. No charge is due if required legal information, request or acknowledgement was not obtained.

6. Withdrawal after full performance

The right may be lost after the entire agreed service is performed only if the consumer expressly requested early commencement, acknowledged the loss of the right on full performance, and all statutory conditions are met. Merely starting a search is not full performance. Payment alone does not remove the withdrawal right. Remedies for defective performance remain unaffected.

7. Research outcomes and service defects

Historical research cannot guarantee that particular records will be found. An inconclusive result alone does not establish defective service if the agreed work was performed with reasonable professional care. If agreed work was omitted, materially defective or unlawfully delayed, contact us; statutory remedies may include correction, completion, price reduction, termination or refund as circumstances and law provide.

8. Refund processing

Refunds following statutory withdrawal are made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal notice, subject to any lawful proportionate charge. Refunds use the original payment method unless the consumer agrees otherwise. No separate refund fee is charged.

9. How to withdraw

Email WW2ServiceHistories@gmail.com with your name and the research service/order you are withdrawing from. A reason is not required. The email link opens your email application; it does not transmit information until you send the message.
